“Y/N!!!” Someone yelled out, startling a young woman who was sleeping right on her desk. Was she supposed to be writing a paper? Yes. Was she doing that? No- but Y/n couldn't help it! It was just so boring. Though, it was the only job that would accept her due to, well, utterly embarrassing herself and messing up every single job that she ever had. There wasn't a place in Water 7 that she didn't work at that she didn't already get fired from in less than a day. So this job- working as a journalist was her last shot, and sleeping on the job wasn't really helping her.

Y/n got up hurriedly to where the voice called out from- Her boss's office. Y/n hesitantly opened the door to see a stern face.

“Y/n. I have a job for you, and you better do it or you're fired.” He spoke, and he sure was quick to the point. Y/n nodded hastily, a look of nervousness painted bee face.

“Yes boss!”

“Your job is to interview Rob Lucci, I'm sure you've heard of him- he's quite popular among you girls. Anyways, he already agreed to answer any question you ask, and I've prepared some for you, most of these were sent in through the mail by some fans, so you better get them answered.” He demands, “But some more info that you'll be needing to do…” he trails off as Y/n mind wanders elsewhere.

Ah yes, y/n, a young and aspiring journalist, was sent by the Mizu Mizu Newspaper Company to spend a day at the Galley-La shipwright company to interview some of the shipwrights about their job and other burning questions sent in by many fangirls and boys.

“And your tour guide is none other than..”

“Rob Lucci?!” Y/n blurts out as her boss just explained her job to her. Most of her questions were for him anyways so wouldn't it make sense for him to be her tour guide, right? Well, it wouldn't be as bad if she didn't have to ask questions like “Are you single”, “Are you a virgin?” Which were the most popular questions sent in by the people of water 7, had they no shame?! Now Y/n had to go on her way to invade the privacy of Rob Lucci, who could easily get her fired for asking such weird questions!

Y/n had to do it, or she's living on the streets!

“Fine…” Y/n said in defeat, and her boss handed her a notepad with pre written questions on them like a fill in the blank Q&A sheet, and the questions were a lot worse than she could imagine.

Her boss smiles at her as she accepted the job, “Well? Go on now! They're expecting you in about…” her boss looks to the clock “Ten minutes at Dock 1!”

“TEN MINUTES?!” Y/n yelled, turning on her heel and sprinting out of her boss's office in a hurry- it was a 20 minute walk if she wanted to be there in time!!

Everyone in the office had their heads turned at the sight of little ol’ Y/n running at such a pace. Murmurs filled the room until their boss yelled, “GET BACK TO WORK!”

Y/n didn't have any time to lose! Her high heels were clicking like a ticking time bomb that goes faster and faster per second as she ran, pushing past people with a pen and notepad in hand. She raced up the paths as fast as her legs would take her and in 8 minutes, she made it to Dock 1.

Y/n found herself in the bustling workplace, surrounded by the sights and smells of sawdust, wood glue, and freshly sawn timber. until a voice called out, “HEY! What the hell are you doing here?!” A blonde man with slicked back hair yells, pointing in the direction of Y/N and then he stopped to get a good look at her- “A tight pair of shorts, a crop top.. A LOW CUT SHIRT?!” the blonde yells, “YOU TEMPTRESS! GET OUT OF HERE!” He continues, until a familiar blue haired man walks out with an attractive black haired male. It was Mayor Iceburg and… And Rob Lucci!

Sweat trickled down the shipwrights' noses, as they labored under the glaring sun, their brows and clothing damp with perspiration. Their limbs were sturdy and their hands deft, as they hammered, sawed, and nailed the ship's timbers together. Their faces were lined with determination as they worked in unison to complete parts of different ships in a timely manner. The only sound that broke the silence was the sound of their tools striking the ship's lumber.

Y/n stays silent in surprise, unsure of what to do until-

“You must be Y/n!” A high pitched voice says, making Y/n look around in confusion at where the voice came from.

“You know her, Lucci?” The blonde asks, a cigar clenched in between his teeth.

“Lucci?” Y/n thinks to herself, “there's no way that that high pitched voice came from him!!”

Y/n looked to Lucci and the voice spoke again, “She's the journalist who was sent to interview me” but wait..Lucci’s mouth didn't move… was it the..

“THE BIRD TALKS?!” Y/n exclaims in surprise

“My name is Hattori! And yes I talk!” It spoke again.

“God that's actually scary” Y/n said to herself

Iceburg stays silent then turns around and walks back into the building awkwardly, mumbling to himself on the way.

“Alright, I'll give you a tour while we speak” Hattori continued as Lucci motioned Y/n to come forth.

Lucci led the way, as Y/n followed like a duckling. Lucci pointed at different places while Hattori spoke about what the place was and what the shipwrights did there.

As they walked, they eventually made it to an area where no one else was around and Hattori spoke up, breaking the silence, “Are you going to ask any questions? I don't think it's your job to stay silent while you get free tours..don't take this into any offense though” Lucci cocked a brow as if he was the on speaking and Y/n just looked down and sighed and finally mustered up the courage to open her notepad and speak up.

“are..are you single..?” She hesitated to speak, but she had to ask these stupid, stupid questions!

Lucci stopped walking and snapped his head to her.

“What?” Hattori said, flapping his wings like arms. Both Lucci and Hattori we're caught off guard.

Then, it went silent.

After about 30 seconds Lucci then finally spoke,“I am. Are these questions written down or..” Lucci bends down to meet Y/n face as he smirks, “or do you have an interest in me?” He said in his oh so handsome voice, it was enough to make any girl swoon from a single word of his alone. Though, Y/n did pick up a hint of cockiness in his tone.. Did he like this?

“they're written down but…What If I did have an interest in you?” Y/n replied in a flirty tone, which was so unlike her, but it just slipped out!

“Now, why would a newspaper have such personal questions to ask? Are you sure these aren't written directly from your desires, Y/n?” Lucci continues, standing up right again. He was tall. Much taller than the average person, standing at around 7 feet.

iceburg:

He’s…not much of a help. He does make it fun though. He’s honestly a childish goofball and is more likely to start food fights in the kitchen than he is to actually help you bake.

On the other hand, if it’s something he really wants to try, then he does ask you if he can help. He gives the most adorable puppy dog eyes and it’s an instant yes. He’s a very messy cook but he’s enthusiastic, so you can’t be too mad.

He’s also the type to lick the spoon clean with raw brownie batter or to eat chunks of cookie dough raw. Also will steal things off the rack when it’s still cooling, and has had his hand smacked with a spoon numerous times over it. Also prone to feeding Tyrannosaurus bits, even though sweets aren’t exactly good for mice…

Iceburg isn’t always a total dork in the kitchen though. He’s just a very playful partner. If he’s feeling more relaxed though, it’s such a pleasant experience. Just you and him, mixing ingredients and chatting about anything that comes to mind, the soft sounds of utensils on metal or knives hitting the cutting board. When you’ve got everything in the oven, you’ll sit at the kitchen island and continue to chat, heedless of time until the timer goes off again.

kaku:

You don’t even have to ask Kaku if he wants to bake. If he happens upon you already baking, then he’s in. He isn’t as bad as Iceburg about getting playful, but he’s definitely prone to scooping up a bit of chocolate icing on his finger and swiping it across your cheek. You’ll laugh and return it, and he’ll pin you to the counter and kiss you between giggles.

If you plan to bake while he’s there, though, you had better make sure you ask him or he gets all pouty about it. He enjoys doing the relaxing tasks with you, and it’s a 50/50 split on whether you’re talking quietly or doing it in silence. If he’s just gotten back from a mission, he’ll usually tell you about it, while you tell him what it’s been like since he’s been gone.

He finds baking cathartic and a good bonding experience with you. There’s no expectations and he’s good at it, so he very rarely has to worry about it turning out poorly. His favorite thing to do is bring home recipes for you from wherever you’ve been, and the two of you will test them out until you make the perfect batch. 

He is better at stealing from the cooling rack than Iceburg is and it can lead to playful fighting and yelling in the kitchen, leaving you breathless as you chase him around the counters calling him a thief.

lucci:

Lucci is surprisingly into it. In typical Lucci fashion, he doesn’t play around too much in the kitchen. When he first started helping you he was, but it slowly tapered off as he realized how relaxing it was. There’s no stress because he’s good at everything, and honestly, baking is one of the times when his softer side comes out. If he sees flour on your cheek, his fingers will gently brush your cheek, a soft chuckle leaving his lips as he tells you how messy you are.

Speaking of messy, he’s very meticulous, more or less a perfectionist in his task. It’s ridiculous how good he is at a task he has no previous experience with, but that’s typical of Lucci. 

Like Kaku, after a while he starts bringing home recipes he finds he likes, and some that he thinks you would like, and says he’d like to try making them. As opposed to Kaku’s excitement, he’s relaxed and willing to do it without you, but secretly would prefer you help him (because at that point that’s what it is, you’re helping him not the other way around). He very much likes to hold you from behind as you’re trying to do tasks, his catlike need for attention only when he wants it coming to the forefront when he sees you so focused on anything but him.

paulie:

Baking is literally one of the only times he isn’t freaking out over your state of undress, or stressing about his gambling debts, or Iceburg’s health. He isn’t very good at it because he’s afraid of messing it up (which is really funny for one of the best foremen in Galley-La, but everyone has their hangups). But he’s very good at following directions and he’s better than he thinks he is.

He’s constantly looking for validation. Asking if he’s stirred it correctly, if the amounts are correct, if it’s evenly spread. Over time, he does start to gain confidence, but he’s always still worried about making a mess of what you’re trying to do. The best way to counteract this is to do it more often, making it fun.

He’s surprised the first time you smear cream cheese icing across his cheek, looking at you as if you’ve lost your mind. But you’re laughing at the look on his face and when you move to do it again, he grabs your wrist, pulling you close and asking just what you think you’re doing. It’s your turn to be surprised by his forwardness because he’s usually too flustered to be that close without prompting.

He doesn’t bring recipes home, but if he happens to see something that looks interesting he’ll ask if you know how to make it and, if you don’t, enjoys looking up how to do it and then trying them out with you. Those instances, he doesn’t worry about messing it up because you probably do too at least once until you figure out the right way to do it.

mihawk:

He’s the hardest to get to join you. You have to pretty much beg and pester him into doing it the first time, or catch him when he isn’t doing anything else. If you try and ask him just after coming home from a journey or in the middle of his glass of wine, he’s less likely to agree.

That being said, he’s very good at it. Which is unsurprising, really. He bakes with the same delicate precision he uses when he’s wielding his sword, and watching him is very relaxing. He’s even more quiet than Lucci, and there’s almost no playful mess making. He adores you, but he isn’t an expressive man and if he’s doing something like baking, he wants it to be a bonding experience.

That being said, if you do happen to smear icing across his face, he isn’t going to get upset. He’ll chuckle and call you a child, grabbing your wrist before you can do it again and pulling your close, lightly kissing you before turning to wipe his face off. If you persist, you can get him to punish you later, but not until the baking is done.

Most important pirates knew you from having met you, regular civilians knew you by your faceless Wanted posters (the photographers could never quite take a good picture of you and if they did, your charm could make them not submit it), the Marines knew you by the potential danger your knowledge could cause, but no one truly knew you.

But your name spoke volumes.

Why the name you ask? It was a little known secret that you had a habit of advising anyone, that made your fancy, on potential events that could impact them in the near or later future. Fortunate for you, they always happen. Considering the advice you had given, those very impactful situations you warned and foretold were dealt with ease. Thus the rumor was that you colluded with the Devil for such knowledge, leading to the name.

It also didn't help that you often aided the pirates. So yeah.

Soon enough, the World Government gave you a bounty. It wasn't a lot for you never truly caused any harm to anyone, yet enough to catch the attention of Pirate Hunters. It was a small thing of 3,000,000 berries. Barely anything, you had figured. That was until certain events began to take place. Events that originally shouldve never occurred in the first place.

But wasn't life supposed to be full of surprises?

(A/N): oof lemme tell you that when I wrote the prompt, I just continued to write like random scenes that came to mind and like fuckkkk.

So what imma do is, imma make small scenes of certain, specific moments of the readers life. Like when she joined a pirate crew, or when she fell into One Piece, or when you met Shanks, or whatever. They won't be in chronological order but they'll exist.

Some might have romance, others might have family type moments, others might be fluff or spicy. You get me?
